Wed 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM

With the expansion of the Mentor-Protege program, joint ventures are becoming more common in government contracting. What are the benefits of joint ventures for the members of joint venture and federal customers? In addition, there are plenty of pitfalls and things to consider before creating one. We'll discuss both sides of the issue. Speaker: Garth Arevalo is the CEO of Lukos, a Tampa-based small business that has entered into three joint venture agreements (and working on a fourth currently). They have won four major IDIQ contracts, several other contracts, and dozens of task orders through joint venturing. This Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency.

Speaker(s): Garth Arevalo is the CEO of Lukos, Tampa-based SB

Co-Sponsor(s): ServisFirst, Gulfcoast Underwriters, & Bass Berry Sims
