Working in DoD? Have you heard of the Defense Contract Audit Agency? They provide audit and financial advisory services to Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal entities responsible for acquisition and contract administration. Here’s why you should attend this presentation: 1) Overview of the Defense Contract Audit Agency including the responsibilities and duties. 2) Discussion about the types of DCAA audits that can be performed throughout the various phases of a contract 3) Participants will learn about the DCAA Internet resources and tools that are available 4) Questions about the DCAA and why/how they can assist you/your business will be addressed. Speaker bio Karen Beckman began her career with DCAA in 1989. After reaching the Sr. Auditor level, she left to work in industry and returned to DCAA in 2011. Currently, she is working on MacDill AFB as a Financial Liaison Advisor (FLA). In the FLA capacity, Karen is a communication bridge between the government acquisition community at MacDill and DCAA field audit offices. In addition to performing and supervising various types of audits at DCAA at major, large non-major, and small businesses, she has also worked at a variety of DCAA offices. She has a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.
