Our upcoming disaster preparedness webinar with the Beacon Council is taking place on Thursday, August 4th from 10:00 am -10:30 am. According to the Institute for Business and Home Safety, business interruptions could cost small businesses about $3,000 per day. Whether the disaster is a simple power outage, road construction, flooding, or a more large scale incident such as a hurricane, it can impact your daily operations and jeopardize the future of your entire business. As we are well into hurricane season, the goal is to increase the survival rate of our local businesses in the event of a natural disaster or other business interruption. With that in mind, this workshop will have the following presentations: • Tips on Improving Business Continuity/Disaster Preparedness • State of Florida Emergency Bridge Loans • Information on Free Mobile Disaster Preparedness Applications For more information: Call 305 – 779 – 9230 or email: entrepreneurship@fiu.edu
